HOW CAN I PRESERVE THE BEAUTY AND SOFTNESS OF MY GARMENT?
To preserve the beauty of your purchase, to maintain and enhance its softness and strength, follow our suggestions below:
DO NOT WEAR IT FOR MORE THAN TWO DAYS IN A ROW:
this will minimise “pilling”, the little fuzz balls that form in areas of greatest abrasion. With cashmere, this natural phenomenon tends to decrease over time.
AFTER WEARING YOUR GARMENT LET IT REST:
Lay it out on a flat surface for a few days.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO WASH YOUR GARMENT?
Even though machine washing your garment is a possible option, it is advisable to HAND WASH IT in cold or luke-warm water, without pre-soaking it, using a small amount of mild or neutral detergent.
Turn your cashmere inside out, rinse it thoroughly under running water and do not wring it out.
NEVER EXPOSE IT TO DIRECT SUNLIGHT, squeeze it gently
between two towels or spin dry using the shortest washing-machine spin cycle.
YOUR GARMENT WILL SELDOM NEED TO BE IRONED but, if required, a hot iron should never be used directly on cashmere fibres.
MAKE SURE THERE IS NO RESIDUAL MOISTURE: this attracts moths … they love soft wool!
Store the garment in a dry, cool place with a moth repellent like cedar, mint or lavender.
